Robert Sonneman is one of those great name in design that most folks have never heard of. His primary thing is lighting with an Italian modern influence and we had another of his lamps a while back. This particular lamp is also known as the TIK or 7701 and representatives of this piece are in design museums including the collection of the Brooklyn Museum.
Ours features a black enamel shade on a chrome base. The height is adjustable, it rotates from side to side and the light head can be tilted to illuminate larger areas or even a wall. It dates to about 1970, still retains the original foil label and measures about 19 3/4 inches tall.
It works wonderfully and is in excellent shape.
